Pierre Fauchard Academy International Scholarship
The chief Award that the Region VIII Academy presents annually is the
Pierre Fauchard Academy International Scholarship.
This award is granted to a student from each Dental School in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji on the recommendations of the Dean or Head of School for excellence in his or her coursework, written assignments and/or related activities during the 2018 academic year.
The Board is grateful to the Oral Health Foundation of the Pierre Fauchard Academy for their generous financial support of these scholarships.
The following are the criteria for awarding of the $1000 Scholarship. The selected student must be enrolled in the 2018 academic year but they must not graduate in 2018. They should demonstrate great potential for developing into an outstanding leader in the profession because of their participation in the University, the dental school or the community. The nominee should be an “above average” student in his/her academic performance. The qualities of integrity, imagination, initiative and communication skills should enter into the selection process as well as the recipients need for financial support.
